Our Mission

Physim is a web platform, interactive textbook, and a research project to help students in Physics understand fundamental, intermediate, and complex concepts through the use of providing theory gone over in many university lectures, providing simulations to explain that theory, and to provide students the ability to learn from the theory and simulations via manipulating variables and understanding why and where formulas are coming from and how they apply to real world applications.

We want to provide students a new and interactive way to learn physics. Physics is often recognized as a difficult class in various levels of education. This is true for many reasons. Teachers and professors can explain concepts which aren't clear to the student, examples done for homework can be unrealistic, but most importantly many students don't see the connection the theory has with real world application, specifically visualizing what they learn in the classroom to the world outside. It is the idea to provide the background and visualization that is the prime influence of this project.
